The Governor of Central Java recently presided over the inauguration ceremony, announcing that the PT DKV Printing Indonesia factory, under the Chinese BSN Group, has officially commenced operations in the Kendal Industrial Zone of Central Java. This project is a significant manufacturing investment by Chinese capital in Indonesia, with a total investment of up to 728 billion IDR. After going into production, it boasts strong production capacity, capable of producing 500,000 various packaging boxes per day and an annual capacity of 180 million boxes, ranking among the top tier in Southeast Asia. It is reported that the DKV factory specializes in printing and high-end customized packaging services, with products covering full-category packaging items such as outer cartons, color boxes, inner boxes, and high-end handmade gift boxes. Its cooperative brands cover a large number of internationally renowned giants, including nearly 20 international brands such as Adidas, Nike, Lacoste, The North Face, Under Armour, and Tumi. The products mainly supply over 400 global brands in the Southeast Asian market, demonstrating strong industrial supporting capabilities.
The construction of this factory started in 2025 and is a key strategic layout for BSN Group to deepen its presence in Indonesia and expand manufacturing in Southeast Asia. The Vice President of BSN Group stated that after full production, the new Kendal factory will employ approximately 800 local Indonesian workers, significantly boosting local employment. At the same time, it will further enhance the group's high-end packaging production capacity, shorten order delivery cycles for global customers, and strengthen the company's core competitiveness in Southeast Asia and global markets. Previously, PT BSN Technologies Indonesia, also under the BSN Group, has been operating in the Kendal Industrial Zone. The commissioning of this new factory further perfects the group's industrial layout in Indonesia. The company is optimistic about Central Java's superior location advantages, mature industrial ecosystem, and huge market potential, and will continue to increase local investment.
The Governor of Central Java highly praised the project, pointing out that it fully demonstrates the strong foreign investment attractiveness and labor competitive advantage of Central Java. In 2025, the total investment in Central Java Province reached 110 trillion IDR, and by the third quarter of 2026, the investment scale had reached 23.5 trillion IDR, absorbing about 22,000 jobs. Currently, Singapore, Mainland China, Hong Kong, and South Korea are the main sources of foreign investment in the province. The local government has promised to continuously streamline the approval process, ensure business operational safety, and continuously optimize the foreign investment environment. The head of the Kendal Industrial Zone stated that the establishment of the DKV factory has filled the gap in high-end packaging supporting facilities in the zone, perfected the regional global supply chain system, helped zone enterprises shorten production chains and improve production efficiency, and further consolidated the core position of the Kendal Industrial Zone in Indonesia's high-end manufacturing sector.
