Documents proving former Indonesian citizenship are required, such as an Indonesian ID card, birth certificate, family card, passport, educational certificate, or land title document.

The guarantor (sponsor) must have an account on evisa.imigrasi.go.id before applying for a visa for the Foreigner they sponsor.
After having an account, the guarantor can apply for a visa for the Foreigner after logging in to evisa.imigrasi.go.id by preparing the Foreigner's electronic documents (PDF or JPEG files), including:
- Proof of guarantee from the Guarantor (Indonesian Citizen) or a statement of commitment from their parents (Foreign Citizen)
- A valid national passport with a validity of at least 6 months before its expiration date,
- proof of sufficient funds to cover living expenses while in Indonesian territory, in the form of bank statements for the last 3 months in the name of the Foreigner or guarantor with a minimum amount of USD $2000 (two thousand United States Dollars) or an equivalent amount

Setelah memiliki akun, penjamin dapat mengajukan visa bagi Orang Asing setelah login di evisa.imigrasi.go.id dengan menyiapkan berkas elektronik (file PDF atau JPEG) Orang Asing antara lain:
- Bukti jaminan dari Penjamin (WNI) atau pernyataan komitmen orang tuanya (WNA)

Other provisions
- The visa's validity period is 90 days from the date of issuance. If not used after that period, the Foreigner must apply for a new visa to be able to enter Indonesia.
- Please note that the visa's validity period differs from the period of stay; please check your visa for information regarding the length of your stay permit.
- The Limited Stay Permit and Re-entry Permit will be issued automatically once you are permitted entry by an officer at the Immigration Checkpoint.
- You are prohibited from staying in Indonesian territory beyond the validity period of your stay permit, engaging in work that is not in accordance with your stay permit, selling goods or services, unless required for your job.
- You are prohibited from receiving remuneration, wages, or similar compensation from individuals or companies in Indonesia.

Proses pengajuan dan pemberian visa
Visa application and issuance process
Visa application at the Directorate General of Immigration:
- examination of the completeness of requirements;
- verification of immigration fee payment in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations;
- profile creation and verification;
- approval;
- visa issuance.
Processing time is five working days after the visa payment is received.
- If all requirements are met, you will automatically receive an Electronic Limited Stay Permit (e-ITAS) and Re-entry Permit upon arrival at the Immigration Checkpoint (you do not need to come to the immigration office to obtain the Limited Stay Permit and Re-entry Permit).
